Little Gods, Sonship, & Deception (Part 2)

Little Gods, Sonship, & Deception (Part 2)
As last week's post stated, I sat under a teaching that attempted to show how you and I are sons and daughters of God, which is absolutely true!!! However, it was downhill from there. The speaker seemed uncomfortable and so did the listeners sitting under this false teaching that drifted into complete heresy without anyone bothering to stop him. Like last weeks post, let's use the open Bible approach over the open mind approach and see where one can quickly go wrong.
Error 2: Sin Was Not Reckoned From The Woman
During the message, a comment was made by the speaker that stated that when Jesus was born he had to be born of a woman because sin "was not reckoned unto the woman." WHAT!??!
Hold up, wait a minute, let us put some verses in it...
A. Genesis 3:6-7
The woman ate of the forbidden fruit first. The woman gave it to the man. The man ate it second. Man and woman disobeyed God.
Conclusion: Man and woman sinned.
B. Genesis 3:16-17
Woman was punished for her sin. Man was punished for his sin.
Conclusion: Man and woman sinned and were punished.
Man was not deceived; he sinned willfully knowing the consequences of his choice. Woman was manipulated and fooled by the serpent. Both man and woman were wrong as the man willfully obeyed God and the woman willfully put her trust in the serpent instead of God.
Conclusion: Man and woman sinned.

Heresy Corrected
Do you know how horrible it would be to end this blog here? To end here would be the equivalent of going to a doctor and him pronouncing a death threatening illness for you and then sending you home.  WHAT?!!?
So here's the antidote, Jesus was born of a woman. But wait! This woman was a sinner as all other women were, sorry Catholics. However, one thing that was different about her was the fact that she was a virgin. This is so important and vital to Christianity. In fact, one could dare say that if it was not for the virgin birth, Christianity doesn't exist. How come?
You see if there was no virgin birth of Jesus, there was no supernatural birth. Without a supernatural birth Jesus is no Son of God. Without the virgin birth, Jesus cannot bear our sins on a cross. Without the virgin birth, Jesus is born as a sinner and unable to save himself (please note the small "h" as in this hypothetical case Jesus is not the savior). It was God who gave Mary the supernatural ability to conceive without following the normal course of action for such events to occur. Yes, Jesus was the Son of God and the Son of Man. It is the Son of Man who died on a cross and died. It is the Son of God who rose from the dead and is coming back for His church! Fully God and fully man!!!
My dear brothers and sisters in the faith and even my friend who contradicted clear scriptures while uttering such blasphemy as saying that "sin was not reckoned to the woman", we serve a mighty God who calls us His own. It was Jesus Christ who had the audacity to tell His disciples and us to pray to God and call Him FATHER! Yes, we are beautiful in His eyes and very much loved. So loved that He sent His only begotten Son into the world! Amen!!!
Conclusion (Resubmitted from last week)
This is not a polemical attack on an individual. I recently heard that addressing the error is what is important in exposing false doctrine! It is not the purpose of this post to go after individuals. When I have misspoken for God, I have repented!!! When you rely on scripture, Sola Scriptura, then you can avoid all apologies altogether! Let God’s Word Speak, not you, or me!!!

Final Thought
Instead of seeking profundity in conveying God's truths, seek simplicity of the Gospel, and this will keep you from insanity.
